The ADDA 1418-166 series of converter boards are complete, isolated,high-speed data acquisition and control systems on a single SBus card. These boards are designed for high-speed, low-jitter operation forscientific, medical, and industrial applications. On the ADDA-1418 board, the onboard, A/D converter can continuously acquire while, simultaneously, the four D/A converters continuously output streams ofhigh-speed analog data without realtime CPU intervention. The entireanalog section, comprising the A/D and/or D/A converters, areelectrically isolated from the computer system's bus. This results in theelimination of ground loops, and a reduction of noise coupling from thecomputer's circuitry. The memory that holds the conversion data for both A/D and D/A is memory-mapped, and can be accessed easily by just reading and writing longwords. The CPU may access memory, in real time, without interfering withthe continuous automatic data conversion process.Features of the ADDA-1418-166 include:- 14 bit, 166 KHz, fully isolated A/D converter.
- 16 differential input channels with programmable gain.
- Four co-phased 18-bit D/A converters.
- Fully isolated analog section for low noise
- Fully automatic high-speed data acquisition with programmable internal
time base.- 32K dual-ported onboard RAM.
- Self-contained in single SBus slot.
- External trigger input and output plus two programmable digital
outputs.- All functions are software programmable; no jumpers are needed.
- Simple, powerful user software and driver software are included.
- Programmable for simultaneous multichannel A/D and D/A conversion.
